  1. Enhance IBY Product Sort

    Right now, you manually adjust IBY product display order by choosing an integer from a dropdown. I think there should actually be two modes:

    1) Sort based on actual sales so that biggest sellers do bubble up

    2) Change existing functionality to "Custom" and allow users to sort as they wish

  2. Stratus Mobile Apps: Use Camera to Read QRs / Replicate Entagged (both Processes to Use Time Stamps)

    As y'all know, I've been working with the QR codes extensively of late, and I believe a good solution for making the QR codes work well is to use a tablet at the shooting station to scan QR codes generated by Stratus. This would solve the resolution issue (as well as toner issue if printing yourself) of needing to print QRs large enough to be read by software at 50mm from ~10' so you can fill frame with the largest Hi-Lite background made (like y'all saw from my most recent shoot): people can just walk to the photographer's station to…

  3. Use Session Direct Login Link for QR Codes instead of Session Number So Clients Can Keep Handout and Scan It

    I got this idea from Sheryl Bashore at one of her recent classes... shooting with QR codes is very fast since you don't have to listen to a 7-year-old garble his or her name three times and select it from a list. QR code sheets can also serve as a handout for clients to take home with them, getting photographers two for one on their money.

    The QR code itself, if turned into the direct Session Login Link, could be scanned by parents to take them directly to the gallery once it's posted. Bonus points for adding ~Session Sale Start/End…

  4. Integrate and AI chatbot in the Help section of IBY, and give the bot access to Stratus DB

    From what I can tell, photo industry software solutions are all focused on using AI to lessen THEIR customer service load, which I actually do like after beta testing the Stratus AI chatbot - it saves trouble of contacting S+ support and adds a kind of after-hours support. I think the major, major opportunity is to help photographers deploy AI for addressing PHOTOGRAPHERS' customer service burden. Maybe this becomes a revenue stream in the form of a ChatGPT subscription y'all could make margin on by getting wholesale price and selling to photographers at face value?

  5. Add an HTML Splash Page for IBY sessions that optionally shows upon client login to Session

    Sytist has this function, and I used it to show a before/after for what a proof looks like online vs. what they're receive in the mail after ordering and we retouch. It could also be used to briefly explain a promotion, etc. ImageQuix also has this functionality. I can't find it on either of their sites, but this is a major thing I miss from Sytist.

    Make it show once, and have a small link after that says something like "show welcome page again."

  6. Make IBY Home a simple editable HTML page at least by option

    IBY currently defaults to something like a cover page for the most recent Session upon login. I'd like the option to instead use the Home like an iframe where I can make something like a Welcome page that gives brief overview of how to navigate IBY and any other pertinent information that a photographer might think helpful to his or her clientele. This could be set as an option as alternate Home function in order to preserve existing functionality for those who prefer it.

  7. Consider changing IBY Products section to function more like "Store" for universal products not session-specific

    As I'm testing IBY from the client side, I find that the Products section doesn't feel right in that it shows you products from the selected session. I think my discomfort stems from the belief that the client probably doesn't realize the products will change in that section depending on session type. Other carts I've used have had a standalone section where universal things like sitting fees, brand swag, frames, etc. could be sold that don't necessarily apply to a specific gallery. I think the section could function almost like an infomercial area.

  8. Add referral link to IBY, ideally with QR, for ease of P2P sharing

    IBY should have a referral program section at least in My Account if not its own standalone section. Minimalist would be showing the client's unique link for relevant referral program with a simple click to copy like how internet companies do for stupid-long passwords, etc. I'd also make a QR codes so that people could just show friends a QR code just like you do for Venmo, etc.

    I argue for its own section, which would list the referred clients and some metric of those referrals (not necessarily how much they spend) like if they've booked a session or not…

  9. Make it possible to show only unread messages in the Messages Hub

    When I am checking messages, I generally just want to see anything new that has come in that I haven't attended to already. If y'all implement the Messages on Home, this will help the messages list on Home widget to be shorter and more immediately relevant.

  10. Integrate bit.ly

    I'm getting billed for two SMS messages every time I send a Session login link, and that is just for the link itself. It needs to be native so that variables in form letters will work: I don't want to have to shorten links for all the 100s of kids at a school, etc.

  11. show a strikethrough in the price list and change the size of the sale price to a larger font than original when pricelist on sale

    When an item is on sale, I believe it should show as on sale clearly in the item list, not just in the cart, ideally with a strikethrough of original price and sale price right next to it (in larger font - see next). Showing the lowest possible price in the item list leads to more sales.     This was Matt Roit's idea, and I couldn't agree more: I'd love to have graphic templates I can use off the shelf integrated with Stratus and that I wouldn't have to digitize myself. I think it could raise funds for S+ by getting a referral fee from the services and also lead to larger IBY sales, a tide that would lift all boats. As a photographer, I've found that graphics and off-camera lighting are the ways that I can compete against free, which is what my competition in form of parents with cameras are charging for their services.   15. Update complete date sort function in Communication to use padded month and date values for correct sort

    I think this is actually a bug: when you are in a Client record and click Communication and then sort by Complete Date, a date like 9/15/2024 shows as later than 9/2/2024. Padding month and dates with leading 0 will fix.

  16. Make some way to easily report Pending Web Orders for Sessions with actual order invoices to eliminate false shopping carts

    I just answered a client email, and she had a large pending web order followed by one from same day with maybe an increment of 1 or 2 for the order / invoice number. That client almost certainly didn't have a shopping cart she still wants to hold onto in my experience. IDK if those are done by the device or what, but I want to find a way to get rid of ~false positive ~abandoned carts from clients who have placed an order dated later than the earlier Pending Web Order that has yet to be ordered.   17. Add a Custom URL that takes a client to his or her shopping cart, not just invoice payment

    As far as I can tell, there's no good way to direct a client straight to an abandoned shopping cart. I want one and a way to trigger the email that contains it automatically in order to automate abandoned shopping cart recovery.

  18. Make it so that sending an SMS doesn't close the SMS Text window

    I am frequently sending a series of texts with a client or even just dialoging and would like the window to remain open instead of closing after I send a new SMS so that I don't have to click on the text thread just to open the client communication I was just working on. I'd prefer just to close the box. IDK if it updates in real time if a new text comes in, but I do want that or at least a reload button so that I can text in real time like a conversation.

  19. Make horizontal scroll bar scroll to selected image upon select from contact sheet view

    If you are in a Session and click an image from the contact sheet view, it brings up that specific image in the filmstrip view to make it a large preview. However, the scroll bar at bottom of the page does not scroll to the position of that image in the gallery, which I believe it should for ease of navigation. You can hack it by pressing left and right arrows: do either way, and the scrollbar jumps to position as expected. Press the arrows enough, though, and you'll notice a bug that I'm reporting now.

  20. Dashboard report for sales by Session Type with ~Live Option

    Since I've been recommended to use unique Session Types for each discrete event photography shoot I do, I would like to have a dashboard report to monitor those sales, especially in real time.
