  1. Make it possible to duplicate Form Emails

    Self-explanatory. It's a hassle to have to reinvent the wheel. Copy/Paste in ribbon doesn't do it (didn't expect it to, just made sure).

  2. Add a character counter to the Form Letter builder like in direct SMS since it's used for SMS

    Form letter builder needs a character counter just like the direct SMS function has since you build SMS campaign templates with it... it's probably more important here because if you're over by a few letters, the mistake is compounded over the whole of target SMS list, not just the one off you'd send that actually has a counter. There actually is a counter once you get to the communication wizard for sending bulk emails, and it's nice that you can make changes in the Wizard to SMS unlike with email (maybe the character count is the reason SMS can be…

  3. Make the email generated from using Client Share Link use a Form Letter so it can be edited.

    Right now, the email generated when you invite a guest to view a session seems to be hardcoded as I cannot find where to change it. I think it should use a form letter with a preconfigured Control Center Job so that you can change the letter. If the email configuration makes this too sticky a wicket, then just hide the send functionality and make it a special kind of form letter that doesn't need to have a trigger to fire itself off.   4. make public events targetable

    Right now all you can do is make a public event session online using the client record of an event host and then make a share link. There's no visibility to those links from the admin side the way you can see guests. I'd like to be able to see, and ideally to create, the share links from admin. Need the link so I can share it with event directors.   6. Make it easy to add marketing plans to groups of people

    There is apparently no way to add a lot of people to a marketing plan other than doing them one at a time, which is not practical for things like a school you'd perhaps want to make a specific marketing plan for.

    Many ways to skin this cat; here are some ideas:

    -Add it to Client Import [Update] Utility
    -Ability to assign to an Organization (so I can market to a school)
    -Ability to assign it to a Session Type (so I can market to all Seniors)
    -Ability to assign it during Online Booking

  7. Update the Import [Clients/Sessions/etc.] Utility Label to "Import or Update [XYZ]"

    The Import Utilities can actually be very handy for simply bulk updating system data without the need for SQL. When we used to use Mailchimp, we would all the time use a spreadsheet to update datapoints in audience lists, just using the email and the datapoint target in two columns. I've been doing this with Stratus to avoid making an SQL request. As a result, I've asked for several fields to be added to the utilties and appreciate that it got done.   8. Add timestamps to sales dates on invoices

    It may be that I'm simply unfamiliar, but I cannot find a timestamp (not just a date) on invoice records. These are useful for at least two reasons:

    1) If you ever need to track down a single payment from a day with many invoices on a payment gateway, you can more easily find it.

    2) If you need to verify an automation (trigger render job, etc.), you will have an idea of when it should (have) happen(ed).

  9. Tie Session Promotions together with Price List Promotions

    My business problem I'm trying to solve is that I always get a few pesky emails about missing promo codes after a sale ends... always. They take 10 minutes to fix and cost me an additional 3% on the refund transaction.

    I'm testing showing available promotions online so they can just pick and apply it. But when I got Session Promotion Promo Codes and Price List Promo Codes confused, I thought maybe they should be tied together after all.   10. Consider adding "Sale End Date" to Session Type if Volume Enhancements Make Session Types Used for Actual Shoots

    Right now, setting it at the Type level would either affect too many shoots or only be useful for a single shoot as there's 1:1 ratio of events when using them as Session Types to Session Types.

  11. Add something like "Sale End Date" as a Session Information field in General tab and make it addressable by Triggers

    Currently, the two most useful dates I can trigger off of in terms of selling are the session's Primary Date and Status Due Date. But if you think about it, the focus there is about making pictures, not selling them (a common mistake photographers make!): since Status Due Dates are calculated on the fly, I think of them more concerning workflow - don't let this sit for too long - than about sales... for sales I want to target an unchanging sell date that might have wonky lead times because I want it to end on a Sunday or maybe…

  12. Add Custom Session Vars of type Date to the Trigger Action Details

    It would add "Trigger this activity based on a Session Custom Variable," which would reveal a dropdown next to it that would have the Session Custom Variable Dates (similar to how "Trigger this activity how many days before the Session's primary date" makes a box where you enter a digit).

    I don't just want my Custom Variables to be data holders... I want them to be actionable. For example, I have "Sale End Date" as a Session Custom variable - I want to be able to use it in a Trigger.

  13. Standardize Location / Studio dropdown for Enterprise

    Right now, Enterprise Location / Studio dropdowns for picking a location number are terms used interchangeably (Location is in the main system; Comm. Job manager, for example, uses Studio), and the dropdown isn't in a consistent place on the ribbon. Since it's so important you track which location you're in, it would be easier if the dropdown were just always worded the same way and always in the same location.

  14. Make URL merge fields accessible in SMS hyperlinks to natively shorten links and save on the 2x SMS charges

    It occurs to me that instead of integrating bit.ly, y'all could just make form letter hyperlinks able to use special merge fields like [Client Online Portal Direct Session URL] that could be set as the Link to. By making the Linked Text something short like "here" as in "click here" it would even be shorter than a bit.ly hyperlink and not need the integration hassle or potential ongoing cost of a bit.ly license. My last SMS link was 171 characters, so I think every time I'm sending a login link I'm getting charged 2x SMS, which is costly at the…

    Working on Session Image Presets, I would add for Selection Options tab that it's only a choice for Custom Profiles. I'm trying to work through the setup one step at a time, and since there are places where the KB article isn't fully updated to the most current functionality (best example being how Spectra concepts can be applied to Stratus if it still says Spectra on KB), I'm questioning if I'm seeing a new or old function in the KB that is now different in the software.   16. Update Render Profile -> General -> Default Setup option titles to put Session in front of high/low res to make clear Session/Ordered/Custom

    After reading through the KB article several times and wrestling with the idea of how to automate digital fulfillment, it occurred to me that part of my confusion has to do with the wording in Render Profile -> General -> Default Setup: only Low/High-Res Session Images talks about digital delivery, yet neither are the correct option if you want to digitally deliver ordered images.

  17. Update language in render profiles and related kb articles for digital delivery

    Since so much of photography is fulfilled digitally these days and the best part of Stratus is automation, I think it would be helpful to update the language for render profiles to specifically address digital images in the render profile settings for Ordered Images because "Ordered Images for Print" - not one of the two explicit digital options, low/high-res session images - if you want to deliver digital images with automation via invoice/production workflows. It is just not intuitive right now.

  18. Compound Filters by Expanding Criteria beyond just the Filter Type Selected

    I am trying to message (email or sms) only clients for a specific Session Type who have not yet placed an order. In order to use the results of the filter to send messages, I need the base filter to be Clients. But in order to achieve my end goal, I think I need to further refine the Clients by those with a Session of a certain Session Type.   19. Update language for pending Web orders to ~shopping carts

    I'm pretty certain that a "Pending Web Order" means that someone has logged into IBY and added items to his or her cart. If this is the case, I think 1) the language surrounding it should be updated to something about "Shopping Carts" as "Abandoned Shopping Carts," for example, is a meaningful term common in ecommerce these days; 2) pending Web orders (online shopping carts with items in them) should be purged after a set amount of time, just like abandoned shopping carts.

  20. Add support for Pinterest, TikTok, and YouTube social media profiles

    I have an important client who has both TikTok and YouTube social profiles I want to track, and I don't want to use a Custom Variable to do it when other social profile slots appear on the main client page. Updated to add Pinterest as no place to put for a client I'm adding now.
