I think this should be reconsidered... 100% of my clients are onboarded online, and if there is a promo code box, 7/10 will ask about one, putting me on the defensive (and thereby losing upper hand because I am now answering questions rather than asking them - if I ask questions, I can follow a script for either/or) in a sales interaction. I think there should be some option to hide code but then maybe something tantamount to a manager at hardware store swiping or scanning badge and entering a special code. IDK if a hidden pixel or like a shift+click on a page element like a logo would be possible, but that way it wouldn't show and you could still have someone manually override if needed.
