The Bulk Image Importer needed to be updated not to render thumbs because at large numbers it more or less choked. The update is amazing! I'm having a similar issue with trying to view images from Session records: since you can only load thumbs, it is taking a long time and seems not to be working for a gallery of only 225 images. It doesn't break the function like with Image Importer, though. So the idea would be like a toggle between detail and icon view in Windows Explorer.
